2D Shape Mats (Digital Download)

Get little hands learning with these tactile 2D shape play mats! Designed to be used with Time To Teach's Eco Shape Cutters and play-dough, students create, sort, compare and discuss common 2D shapes through hands-on exploration.

This download includes a variety of shape mats that encourage students to identify shape properties, compare similar and different shapes and build mathematical vocabulary through partner discussions.

2D shapes featured: circle, hexagon, pentagon, oval, square, rhombus and triangle 

How To Use:

• Cut out 2D play-dough shapes using the Eco Shape Cutters (sold seprately)
• Create and sort 2D shapes using any material e.g. paper, pipe cleaners, wooden shapes, match sticks etc.
• Use as a maths rotation, small groups or independent learning
